EXPRESSION OF PRAISE

BIOGRAPHY

ut of the Greater Metropolitan Toronto Area emerges a group of energetic, expressive, vivacious young people consecrated to winning souls for the kingdom. Anointed by God, Expression of Praise is a collection of young people between the ages of 14 and 22 who can't help but praise the Lord. Their signature sound is a distinct blend of the explosive and joyful expression of traditional gospel music, with the funky and youthful vibes of today's music.

The choir was founded in January 1992 by Keisha Barnes, Denise Hall, Brian Sinclair, and Terry Henry. Their vision was to organize a group of young people who wanted to serve the Lord and had the talent to do so by singing or playing music. The members then joined together, primarily from the Agincourt Seventh-day Adventist Church, presently known as the Apple Creek Seventh-day Adventist Church, to form Expression of Praise.

The foundation of this    "family" is the belief in sincere communion with God. Neither rehearsals nor appearances begin without exclusive time set aside for worship. By putting God first in everything, they have not only been successful in their music ministry, but have been a magnet in their community, influencing the lives of both young and old.

Under the leadership of God, the direction of Brian Sinclair, and the management of GospelNation, Expression of Praise has performed at many venues within the Christian community. The choir has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with talented artists such as Fred Hammond and Radical for Christ, Commissioned, Faith Chorale, Toronto Mass Choir, WAB, Youth Outreach Mass Choir, U of T Mass Choir, Selections, and many other positive images in the music industry.

Their experiences have included performing at the Red Cross 200th Anniversary, the Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebrations, Federation of Adventist Youth Rallies, Jamaican Canadian Association Black History Celebrations, Anti-drug marches, special guest appearances on CITY TV's Breakfast Television, as well as the recording of their first CD, "To Whom It May Concern", to be released in the near future. Expression of Praise has also been given the opportunity to appear in numerous churches and concerts across Canada and the United States.

The choir is committed to serving the community. Expression of Praise has expanded their singing ministry into areas of prison ministry, mall ministry, and street evangelism, in addition to sharing the gospel message at local high schools, hospitals, community centres, and nursing homes. As the choir continues to minister, they pray that God will continue to use them as a dynamic instrument drawing many souls to Him through their efforts. Expression of Praise solicits your continued prayers as they continue to express His praise.

"Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord!" Psalm 150:6
