GOSPELNATION RECORDS DYNAMIC NEW GROUP "EXPRESSION
OF PRAISE" RECEIVES THE PRESTIGIOUS JUNO AWARD NOMINATION FOR BEST GOSPEL ALBUM.
Toronto, Canada - On Wednesday January 27th, Canadian
Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) officially announced the 1999 JUNO Award
nominees for this years Best Gospel Album, among the groups mentioned was Markham, Ont.
based community youth choir "Expression of Praise" for their debut release of
"To Whom It May Concern".
"To Whom it May Concern's" project producer
Terry Henry is the first to admit that there were many trials in the making of their first
album. He says that with each individual challenge that blocked their route towards the
making of the album consistently they were overcome by God's divine intervention. And
always just on time. The 21-year old says that the completion of the album marks the end
of a long journey that started as a dream at 16. As a matter of fact all the songs on the
album were written before Henry graduated from high school.
As the title suggests, "To Whom It May
Concern" is designed to be interpreted as a letter to their audience as written by
the entire group.
Henry says their message of God's goodness concerns
everyone. The album features a range of musical styles. Powerful Worship and Praise songs,
well executed Jazz oriented ballads, with energizing soul and blues combinations are
complemented by dynamic Christian Contemporary tunes. The album is a testimony to this
young man's versatility and musical maturity.
