Sharon Riley & Faith Choral 1999 Juno Award Winners.
The 1999 JUNO Awards took place at COPPS Coliseum in
Hamilton, Ontario Canada. The JUNO Awards which are the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy
Awards are handed out by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences every year to
recognize the best talent in Canada. The sold-out crowd of 19,000 had a chance to sample
various styles of secular music. The broadcast which went coast to coast in Canada was
viewed by millions. The JUNO for best gospel album of 1999 went to EMI GOSPEL-recording
artist Sharon Riley & Faith Chorale. Expression of Praise was also nominated in this
category. This can be considered a great success for GospelNation and
Expression on their
first project. GospelNation's management team and choir members were present at the awards
